Dr. Teresa Bellingar and Beck Johnson conducted a study to assess the ergonomic comfort of four office chairs: VertuForm™, VertuFlow™, VertuBalance™, and Antigravity™. The study used pressure mapping technology to track discomfort and pressure points across different sitting postures. The goal was to determine which chair provided the best support and reduced strain on the body.
The results showed that VertuForm™, VertuFlow™, VertuBalance™, and Antigravity™ all offered excellent support, but Antigravity™ stood out for its ability to evenly distribute pressure, reducing discomfort, especially in upright and reclined postures.
These chairs’ designs, which include features like dynamic lumbar support and flexible seating materials, significantly improved comfort compared to standard office chairs. The study concluded that these ergonomic features, including adjustable armrests and backrests, promoted better posture and reduced strain, helping to improve both comfort and productivity.
